Eldred Sheet Metal Works is a custom metal fabricator of stainless steel products. Stainless Steel metal is a steel alloy with a minimum of 10.5% or 11 % chromium content. This chromium content creates a barrier that makes this steel alloy rust and stain resistant. Stainless Steel is sometimes referred to as Corrosion Resistant Steel. Higher chromium content allows stainless steel to withstand a harsher environment. Stainless steel can have chromium content as high as 26%. Some other characteristics of stainless steel include a higher tensile strength, high heat resistance, and a more lustrous appearance. Stainless Steel is available in angle, round bar, beam, channel, flat bar, bar stock, tube, pipe, sheet and plate. Some common types of stainless steel used by Eldred Sheet Metal Works are 304, 304L, 309, 316, 316L, 321, 409, Stainless Steel Expanded Metal, and Perforated Stainless Steel.
