Aluminum is usually alloyed with silicon, iron, manganese, magnesium, chromium, copper and various other elements. Aluminum alloys are usually 85% Aluminum and a 15% combination of other elements. Some common types of Aluminum used at Eldred Sheet Metal Works for fabrication are 3003, 5052, 5083, 5086, and 6061. Aluminum is available in sheet, plate, round bar, flat bar, channel, bar stock, angles, beams, and tees. It is also available in tubing and pipe.
